<body-html>
Male and female teens from Kids on the Hill created a video to open a dialogue about teen relationship issues. The video looks at internalized messages of sexism and racism and how they both impact teens and address issues that transcend a teen experience to reflects problems that occur in adult relationships as well.

Participating youth met in classes separated by gender. Each discussed a variety of issues including defining what their ideal of a black male and female is, the messages and stereotypes that society teaches and the problems the two groups have in relating as a result of those messages. Planned Parenthood led discussions with each group on the difference between healthy relationships that are characterized by honesty, equality, respect, and responsibility, and those that are unhealthy. Each group then created videos that the other gender watched and responded to. It was only in the last week of shooting that the two gender groups came together to discuss the many ideas they’d explored.

The project was created by Kids on the Hill in partnership with Planned Parenthood and Wide Angle Community Media.
</body-html>
